This talk provides an overview of the R156 regulation.
In particular, it addresses the status and the scope of the regulation, the regulation split approach, and the requirements on SUMS. The way assessments, declaration and certification of compliance for SUMS are obtained and the requirements on the vehicle type are described. Finally, the way assessment of vehicle type and the marking of vehicles are made is described.
